It’s Miss Georgia week in Columbus. Here are the competitors with a local connection

The 79th annual Miss Georgia Scholarship Competition will be conducted this week at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in Columbus.

The event features a total of 94 contestants who qualified for the state competition by winning a local pageant. They will be vying for the 2024 titles of Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia’s Teen.

The Miss Georgia preliminary rounds will be June 12-14, starting at 7 p.m. The finals will be June 15, starting at 6 p.m.

Tickets, ranging in price from $65 to $150, are on sale at the RiverCenter box office, 900 Broadway, or on the RiverCenter’s website.

More than $75,000 in scholarships will be awarded. The winners will represent the state at the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen competitions.
