The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose: Jillian and Ed still together, Reid still loves Jillian
On Tuesday's "The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose" Jillian Harris says she's still in love with her top pick Ed Swiderski.
Ed said Jillian is going to move to Ed's Chicago apartment Sept. 1. Marriage plans are underway.
"I think we're certainly going to get married in the next 12 months," Ed said.
An audience member asked about the mankini shorts that Ed wore in Hawaii. Jillian said he had another pair now. Another audience member asked about the night in the fantasy suite when Ed and Jillian didn't have a passionate connection. Were things working now?
"No bedroom problems," Jillian said. Ed said things were great.
When host Chris Harrison asked how it felt to be a couple in public after months of secrecy, Ed said "this is not weird at all."
"I'm so lucky," Jillian said. She admitted that she thought she was going to pass out before Ed proposed, but was relieved and excited when she became engaged.
The show started with Melissa Rycroft talking about her experience earlier this year on "The Bachelor." Footage aired of last season's "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" when Jason Mesnick dumped Melissa for runner-up Molly Malaney.
Though she appeared upset during the replay, Melissa said "The Bachelor" was "forever ago" and she thinks that Jason did make the right decision by choosing Molly. Melissa, now a contributor to "Good Morning America," placed third in this season's "Dancing with the Stars." She's now engaged and happy with her life.
Next up was Kiptyn Locke, the runner-up of "The Bachelorette." He is shown footage of Monday night's show when Jillian Harris said she was in love with Ed Swiderski.
"I clearly fell in love with Jillian," Kiptyn said.
Jillian then came on stage and Kiptyn had a chance to speak with her. She assured Kiptyn that he didn't do anything wrong.
"I just want him to be happy," Jillian said.
"I don't have any hard feelings," Kiptyn said.
Reid Rosenthal came on screen next. He proposed to Jillian on Monday night's show, but she said she was in love with Ed.
Host Chris Harrison asked Reid about his decision to return to the show and ask Jillian to marry him. "I thought she was going to say yes," Reid said. He thought after he told Jillian his feelings, she would accept his proposal and they would be engaged.
Jillian told Reid "I knew when I let you go, I wasn't ready to let you go." But she said she fell in love with Ed and there was no turning back.
Jillian wanted to know if Reid had any bad feelings about coming back to the show. "I don't have regret because I did it," Reid said.
"Do you still love her?" Chris asked. "Of course," Reid said.
Reid asked if it would have mattered if he opened up to Jillian earlier. She said it would not have. Then the show turned to joking. Reid said his only other question was about the fantasy suite. He chose not to ask that question.
Here's a recap of Monday night's show:
On Monday's final episode of "The Bachelorette" Jillian Harris, 29, told Kiptyn Locke that he wasn't The One, rejected a proposal from Reid Rosenthal and gave the last rose to Ed Swiderski.
"You're beautiful. You're intelligent. You're funny. You're confident, and you make me smile when I look into your eyes. I know that I love you, but before we go any further, I need to know that you love me," Ed said.
"There is no doubt in mind that I'm madly in love with you. I love you so much," Jillian said. "It was so hard for me not to tell you."
"There's one last thing," Ed said as he got down on one knee. "I want to be with you forever. I want a family with you. I want you to give me a hard time when we're 80 years old. Jillian will you marry me?"
"Absolutely," Jillian responded. Ed placed the ring on her finger and rose to his feet as Jillian wrapped her legs around him and kissed him.
"Do you have any idea how much fun we're going to have?" Jillian asked.
Before Ed appeared, the recently rejected Reid made a last-minute appearance on the show.
"I'm just going to tell her how I feel...and then I'm going to propose to her," Reid said. He didn't make the top two because he failed to express his feelings to Jillian.
"I came back to tell you that I love you," Reid said to Jillian.
"I don't even know what to think right now," Jillian said. "Letting you go was the hardest thing I had to do," Jillian said.
"The connection that we have is there for a reason," Reid said. He got down on one knee. "Jillian, I love you and you're somebody I could spend the rest of my life with." Jillian pulled him onto his feet.
"I have missed you a lot," Jillian said before telling Reid that she needed to think. "Part of me feels like I'm in a dream ... My head is spinning right now," Jillian said as she walked away from Reid.
"How's somebody supposed to make a decision like this?" Jillian asked host Chris Harrison. He responded that she knew who she wanted to marry.
"I know my heart is with Ed," Jillian said.
"I still don't know what to think and you are not crazy we do have that connection," Jillian told Reid. "I have to go with what I woke up this morning with ... I was excited about it," Jillian said.
"What can I possibly say to that?" Reid wondered.
Jillian cried on Reid's shoulder and he gave her a hug before she walked him out. She didn't seem sure about her decision as she was saying goodbye to Reid. She said she wished he'd opened up to her earlier and that she was glad he'd been on the show.
On Reid's second limo departure of the season he said "I don't have any regrets flying back here and giving this one last chance with Jillian... though I don't like the outcome."
"It just doesn't make sense. Following my heart, knowing, you know, it's the right thing takes some time with me... I guess it was a little too late," Reid said.
When Kiptyn stepped out of the first limo he said "I love you and I want to spend this life with you."
"You have that spark for life that I've been looking for," Jillian said. "I never thought that I'd say this, it's just I've fallen in love with someone else," Jillian said.
"This hurts a lot... I want you to be happy," Kiptyn said. He thanked her and told her that Ed was a lucky man.
"Saying goodbye to Kitpyn today was excruciating," Jillian said.
"I've never had my heart broken before, but today I'm definitely heartbroken," Kiptyn said when he was back in the limo.
Before making her decision, Jillian said it was going to be hard.
"I definitely love both of the guys," Jillian said about Ed and Kiptyn.
"I'm the luckiest man earth to be able to give Jillian this ring," Kiptyn said when he was choosing an engagement ring.
Ed was nervous when picking out a ring for Jillian. "I would be devastated if Jillian didn't pick me in the end," Ed said.
Though Jillian said she was certain which guy was right for her, she admitted that sending one guy home was going to be difficult. "I don't know how my heart is going to hold up," she said.
At the beginning of the show Ed and Kiptyn were introduced to Jillian's parents and cousin in Hawaii.
When Jillian's mom met Ed she took him aside and presented him with a list of questions. She wanted to know how many kids Ed wanted. Three. Where did Ed want to be in 40 years? Retired and living in Hawaii with Jillian, Ed said.
"I'm crazy about her. I'm in love her," Ed told Jillian's dad. "I want to propose to Jillian."
Ed asked Jillian's dad how he would feel if Ed proposed to Jillian. "I'll be doing somersaults," Jillian's dad said.
Jillian's mom also had a list of questions for Kiptyn. Kids? At least two. What did the couple have in common? Kiptyn said he shared Jillian's desire to marry his best friend.
Jillian's dad asked Kiptyn if he loved Jillian. "I'm getting there a lot quicker than I thought I would," Kiptyn said. Later, to cameras, he said it hit him when he was talking to Jillian's dad. He did love Jillian.
The family had no doubts about Kiptyn not being a workaholic. "I work to live," Kiptyn said.
"I'm falling in love with two guys," Jillian said after both visits with her family.
After talking with her family it seemed her mom and cousin were leaning toward Kiptyn while Ed was Jillian's dad's top choice.
Jillian confessed to her cousin that she felt passion with Kiptyn but she wasn't sure if was she was feeling it with Ed.
On her one-one-one date with Ed, Jillian and Ed went on a romantic helicopter ride to a secluded picnic spot near a waterfall. Before the date, Ed told cameras "I've never been this in love in my life... Tonight has to be a success."
"I would never leave you again," Ed promised on the date. He invited Jillian back to his hotel room where the couple found romance.
"That physical, sexual chemistry was still there," Jillian said. "It's a huge relief.
"I am falling in love with her... I can see a future with her which is a proposal, an engagement, a marriage," Kiptyn said before his final date with Jillian.
Kiptyn and Jillian took a boat ride to a private beach before Jillian came to Kiptyn's hotel room. Kiptyn told Jilllian he was falling in lover her. "I would be really hurt if I lost you," he said.
"He has continued to surprise me and I would be such a lucky woman to spend the rest of my life with Kiptyn," Jillian said.
