America's Next Top Model winner: Ann Ward wins ANTM 15, beats Chelsey Hersley

Ann Ward, a 6-foot-2 student from Dallas who was once bullied because of her height, won the 15th season of "America's Next Top Model." Chelsey Hersley placed second on Wednesday's finale.

Ann, 19, was the front-runner going into the show. She received five consecutive best photo honors during the season. That's a "Top Model" record.

Ann was featured in the controversial "ANTM" promo that aired at this season's start.

The clip ignited debate because host Tyra Banks said Ann had the smallest waist in the world. Some viewers said it promoted an unhealthy body image.

Chelsey is a 23-year-old waitress from Idaho. While Ann took better photos, Chelsey had an extensive background in modeling and was more familiar with the industry.

Season 15 was much more high-fashion than previous seasons. While past winners got a spread in Seventeen magazine, this season's prize package includes a fashion spread in Vogue Italia. Wednesday's finale featured a Roberto Cavalli fashion show.

Weigh in: Did the right person win?
