Jersey Shore Season 4 Episode 2: Welcome to Italy!

The Ledger-Enquirer live blogged Jersey Shore Season 4 Episode 2, which first aired Aug. 11, 2011. A full recap is below:

A quick reminder about what happened last week: Snooki has a boyfriend, the Situation is interested in Snooks, the Sitch and Snooki have associated since last season, the Situation still has amorous feelings for her ... and wer're on!

We're back at the hep, hep, hep Florentine club, where the Situation is making a move on Snooki. Then we focus on Deena kissing Pauly D, and she explains her game plan concerning their two-minute relationship.

Pauly D explains his situation, lowercase, to Snooki. He still wants to associate with other women, though he's not opposed to associating with Deena. Snooki then tells JWoww what Pauly D told her, and JWoww is concerned about Deena getting hurt.

Back to Deena and Pauly D, who is dancing with some random female. Deena is trying to get his attention, which fails.

Back in the cab: The men and women are in different taxis, yet both are talking about the Deena/Pauly D issue. They return to the house and prepare to end the night. Ronnie calls his female friend, Hannah, and asks when she's coming to visit. "Friend." Yeah.

Deena has a serious BAC right now. JWoww and Snooki are downing water, because they know what's best for them. Everyone slowly goes to bed, including Deena, who still has her designs on Pauly D. She approaches his bed, where he's sleeping. She can't wake him, or so it appears. When she walks away, he opens his eyes.

Commercial sign!!!

Pauly D is up and sneaking around the house. He then begins blowing a horn and tries to wake Vinny. He does not.

Next scene: Everyone's up and getting ready for a day on the town. It's a Sunday, and they're headed to the grocery store to get food for their Sunday meal.

Unfortunately, everythings in Italian, because they're in Italy. Who knew? They grab the food and return to the house. Sweetheart says she's a good cook, and she begins the intense process. With wine.

Sweetheart has issues with the strawberries. Or whatever fruit they may be. Now Jwoww and Deena are helping. They decide to go out for a bit before they really start cooking.

The men, who have no survival skills, are hungry. They want to know where the women are. The women are eating at a restaurant.

The men spontaneously get cooking skills and put the women to shame just as Deena, JWoww and Sweetheart come back home. Snooki is still in bed. It's like 3 p.m.

Finally, the meal is done and they're having their Sunday dinner together.

Snooki's on the phone with her boyfriend, who is terribly upset because she hasn't spoken with him in a whole day. The Situation, like some feral wildebeast, lies in wait to attack a vulnerable Snooks.

She hangs up the phone and the Sitch is there with a little casual knee touching.

Another commercial sign!!!

Vinny's on the phone with Marco, some random man who tells him that he is now their employer. The crew will be "working" in a pizzeria, much like the T-shirt shop back in Jersey.

They're wandering around the city, searching for the shop. Sweetheart spots the Vatican in Florence. Nice.

The crew then find the shop, and Marco tells them they're late. The orientation begins: Marco will only show them once. There will be no questions.

Snooki is tossing dough into the air while everyone else is writhing in the snake pit. How can they have a job with someone who doesn't speak their language?

The session is done, and the crew returns to the house. JWoww is making coffee and is searching for a grinder. She can't seem to find one and starts using a cheese grater.

"Making coffee in Italy is like making coffee in the 1600s."

The coffee is finally done, but it's too hot. JWoww says she'll never make another cup.

Switch to getting ready to some clubbing: The crew head to Astor, which is a club for young, beautiful people. You're not invited.

The Situation meets Bittany, an American from Florida. Somehow she got past the beautiful checkpoint.

The crew is doing some shots. Sweetheart is eyeing Ronnie getting seriously drunk. Sweetheart heads to the bathroom and Ronnie tells JWoww that he's got the backup plan: Hannah.

JWoww tells Pauly D, and he asks if JWoww is going to tell Sweetheart. JWoww knows Sweetheart will geek out if she learns about Hannah.

This is endless commercial sign!!!

Everyone still drinking? Good. Ronnie is their king. Pauly D hasn't seen him this bad since Miami. Vinny starts caring for him, before he hurts himself. Snooki is dancing on a table, and there's really no difference here than Jersey or Miami.

Ronnie is extremely drunk and is getting in Sweetheart's face. Vinny pulls him away from Sweetheart and tells him he won't deal with his foolishness. Sweetheart walks away and talks to Snooki.

The Situation, meanwhile, is associating with an American while in Italy. Yeah, you're guilty of this, too. You know you are. Remember that summer in Paris after you graduated? Don't lie to me.

Deena is walking Sweetheart back to the house, or it's the other way around. The Italian police take an interest, but the women get inside their home before they get too interested.

The Situation has Brittany at the house and they wander upstairs. They're in the smoosh room. Afterward, the Sitch gets a cab for his American and sends her away.

The rest of the crew judge her harshly. Snooki tells the Situation that he can do better, and he then attempts to make a conversational move on her. But he's still drunk and his machinations aren't as smooth as they should be. Snooki, however, appears to be buying it.

"I see the way you look at me." Hey, the way that you look at me now makes me wish I was with you.

Snuggling commercial sign!!!

The crew is heading out for a little food. Ronnie remains sleeping. At the restaurant, Vinny tells Sweetheart that he's not fooling with her and her relationship drama any more.

JWoww says it's like they're in high school. The Situation then crosses the line and tells the group that Ronnie was saying he'd bring home five women.

Back at the house: Vinny and Ronnie hop in the jacuzzi. This is a, well, this is an, um, odd situation, lowercase. We feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Thankfully, we're at the next scene: the Sitch is trying to cuddle with Deena, who doesn't care for what's happening. She hops up for a cigarette.

Pauly D is ready to go out for the day, and everyone else is getting ready. Meanwhile, Deena talks trash about the Situation trying to cuddle.

They're on the roof, where they see the Vatican again. Amazing.

All of a sudden, cuddle drama. Deena tells the group with the Situation present that he wanted to snuggle. He denies, denies, denies. Deena gets upset because Pauly D isn't on her side.

Commercial signs with guns!!!

Everyone's prepping for the night out. Pauly D got Deena a forgive-me gift. She accepts.

Now were at the club. Bottles are being popped, and Vinny says it's like they're in Jersey again. Which makes one wonder why MTV spent all this money to send them overseas, but hey, we're not executives here or anything. Who asked us.

Cue the conversation with Ronnie and Sweetheart. She wants to talk, but Ronnie isn't into a relationship talk right now. Deena watches quietly as Ronnie explains that he doesn't want to have the talk while he's drunk.

The Situation is rounding everyone up for the ride home. The guys are walking home talking about in which cases women are too young to associate with.

Our last commercial sign tonight!!!

Pauly D continues the "she's too young for you" game once the crew has returned home. Meanwhile, the Situation is calling plan B -- Brittany, a woman who will sleep with men to get on television.

Deena is sitting on Pauly D's lap, though he has to get up for some lame reason. Sweetheart and Ronnie are in the kitchen and Sweetheart tells the camera that she has feelings for him.

She then confesses her feelings for Ronnie and says she wants to cuddle. Ronnie tells the camera that he does have some of the same feelings, but he stands up and walks away. He doesn't want to return to that stage of his life.

Ronnie goes to sleep and we, the viewer, are treated to an overhead view of Florence.

See you next week!!!
