The Tri-City Latino Festival is this weekend In Columbus. What to know if you plan to go

The 11th annual Tri-City Latino Festival is Saturday and organizers are promising a “vibrant symbol of cultural pride, unit, and collective empowerment.”

The all-day event is family-friendly and is meant to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.

The Latino Fest, sponsored by Aflac and VisitColumbus, is a staple in the community and is one of the largest in the Southeast. It aims to create a space for inclusivity featuring diverse contributions to Latino traditions, music, dance and culinary arts.

Although at its inception it was meant to celebrate Latino heritage, the event has evolved into a festival for all cultures, which organizers hope to use to foster understanding and connection.

The Tri-City Latino Festival is for everyone, and they hope to welcome Columbus and the surrounding areas to celebrate Saturday.
