March 15: Bid on rain barrels painted by regional artists

Chattahoochee RiverWarden is proud to announce we are sponsoring watersmART, an auction of beautifully painted rain barrels, at Outside World on Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on rain barrels painted by talented regional artists including Ralph Frank, Florence Neal, Columbus State University Art Department students and faculty, and many others.

This event, which is part of Artbeat of Columbus, will be hosted by WRBL's Bob Jeswald. Reception and preview begin at 6 p.m., with the auction following at 6:30. Admission is free.

Rain barrels save most homeowners about 1,300 gallons of water each summer —free water that can be used on flower beds and lawns during times of drought. You save money while reducing the amount of runoff flowing into storm drains, and that keeps oil, pesticide, and fertilizer out of our streams.
