Columbus family event MidTown GetDown. List of bands performing
The sixth annual MidTown GetDown is scheduled for 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Lakebottom Bandshell in Columbus.
This free concert and festival, hosted by MidTown Inc., features live music, food trucks and family activities.
The list of performers for this year’s GetDown includes The Project, a father-and-son duo, Todd and Evan Moore, along with steel guitarist Shane McDaniel. They will play acoustic country, folk and classic rock.
Warming up the crowd will be teen garage band Southbound Unit.
“Many may remember three of these band members playing together under the name Flint & Steel at the tender age of 12 at the 2022 MidTown GetDown,” MidTown wrote in its newsletter.
Also performing will be the MidTown Dad Band, seven musicians playing “high-energy sets that span everything from The Grateful Dead to Chappell Roan,” the newsletter says.
