In a clip that Todayshared on Instagram, Roker and Travolta were featured in a side-by-side shot, with the former wearing a white beret and the latter donning a black beret.

"Hey, thanks, guys, very nice," the beloved weatherman said, as the Grease star replied, "Oh, Al."

"Oui, oui, monsieur," Roker joked, to which Travolta replied, "Hey, go for it, man."

"I'm getting directed by an award-winning director. I like that," Roker quipped. "What's my motivation, John? What's my motivation?"

During his joint appearance with his daughter, Ella Bleu, on Today, Travolta also offered insight into why he has worn several berets since the screening of his directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach, at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

"I have over 50 years of me at events and happenings, and I can't tell the difference with what I wore or look," he pointed out. "'Oh, that, what year is that? What movie is that?' And I said, 'You know what, I'm making a directorial debut.'"

Travolta continued, "Directors and berets. Every era, every, for 100 years, has directors wearing berets," he pointed out. "And I said, 'Well, I'm not an actor this time. I'm a director. Show up like a director.'"
