‘MasterChef: Global Gauntlet' Results: Who Went Home Tonight? (Night 2)

MasterChef: Global Gauntlet presented the remaining 19 home cooks with their first mystery box challenge on night 2 of the eliminations, but when they opened it, they were surprised to discover it contained nothing but eggs.

Each contestant then had to let their culture shine by creating a unique take on the iconic Eggs Benedict. But first Gordon Ramsay gave a demonstration on how to prepare the dish with an homage to his Scottish roots.

The winner of the challenge was awarded the second Immunity Pin of the season, and one team was saddled with a major disadvantage that could cost them everything in the "Eggs Benedict" episode

Judges Gordon, Joe Bastianich and Tiffany Derry selected the winner of the second night of the tournament, but also who was eliminated. The winner takes home the MasterChef trophy, but also $250,000.

Here's our spoiler-filled recap of who went home on MasterChef tonight.

Who won the challenge on MasterChef tonight?

For the Eggs Benedict challenge, which had to contain two poached eggs and some version of a Hollandaise sauce, Aishu Challa, who was the holder of the Immunity Pin, was given the power to assign one team a tiny whisk instead of the normal size. She chose to penalize Europe knowing with the small whisk, it takes at least three times longer to make a Hollandaise sauce.

"I am here to play the game, and I am here to win. Also, I want to start knocking down enemies, because I see them as a threat," she said.

Top Dishes:

Asia-Pacific: Shompa

Europe: Basia

Africa: Heidi

Americas: Maria

The best dish and the Immunity Pin was awarded to Heidi.

"I am speechless," Heidi said. "I can't believe I got this Immunity Pin. Africa is safe for another day. It means a lot go get this because I am not someone who has a lot of confidence in themselves."

Who was in the MasterChef Gauntlet bottom three this week?

The three worst dishes were:

Asia-Pacific: Foo

Europe: Nico

Americas: Camilo

The home cook leaving MasterChef was Camilo, who only got one egg on the plate, nor did his dish remind the judges of Mexico.

"It's been a great run, a great pleasure. I put my heart into it," Camilo said. "I am feeling pretty disappointed, but despite being eliminated, this opportunity to be on MasterChef was amazing. I came on MasterChef as a dare from my daughter and it's become so much bigger than that. Representing the Americas, specifically the Mexican culture, made me feel proud to be a Latin American. I am going to continue to cook and see where the food adventure takes me from here."

MasterChef airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. Streams next day on Hulu.
