Big ToDo: Check out these December events for children in Columbus.

Second Saturdays at the Columbus Museum: Second Saturday is a free program for families featuring an art project, gallery hunt and story time. This month's featured artist is Yadira Padilla, who will explore the importance of maps through mixed media. 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 14, with story time at 11 a.m. The Columbus Museum, 1251 Wynnton Road. Rhythm and Rhyme Story Time!: The Columbus Library offers this music class for ages 3-5. Dowdell's Knob Hike: FDR State Park hosts this hike to Dowdell's Knob. This moderate 4.3 mile hike is geared toward ages 10 & up. Bring water and a snack!
