Love and Laughter Block Party
Betty Wright will be performing alongside K-C and Jojo and Lenny Williams. The celebrity host will be Vivica A. Fox. The Laugh and Laughter Block party will take place at the Columbus Civic Center. Columbus History Show and Tell Event
An interactive night of sharing stories from Columbus’ past. Bring your favorite memorabilia-photo, souvenir, whatever you’d like. Do a show and tell just like in the good ole’ school days. The Columbus Partnership Board of Make-A-Wish Georgia and presenting sponsor, Blue Door Boutique, will host the 8th Annual Evening of Wishes which helps raise funds to grant the wishes of local children facing critical illnesses. Evening of Wishes will begin with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner, a silent auction and live New Orleans style music from the Neal Lucas Band. Tickets are $75. The event will be held at the National Infantry Museum with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Dress is cocktail. The Exchange Club of Columbus will once again be serving their world famous all-you-can-eat pancakes. Tickets are $6 ($3 for ages 3-9) and includes two sausage patties, coffee, hot cocoa and all the pancakes that can be eaten on the premises. Milk and juice will be available for an extra charge. Pine Mountain Trail Work Day
Join the Pine Mountain Trail Association for a work day to help keep the trails safe and enjoyable. Tools will be furnished. Participants should bring enough water for the day, snacks, comfortable and durable shoes and clothes, toilet paper, and work gloves. Meet at the FDR State Park Office Building. 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. $5 parking.
Polar Bear 5K Run and Walk
The Polar Bear 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk begins at 11 a.m and registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Cost for the event is $20/run and $15/walk.
