CSU’s Executive Speaker Series
Columbus State University’s D. Abbott Turner College of Business recently announced this semester’s lineup of speakers for the college’s Executive Speaker Series. Free and open to the public, the series features a variety of executives and entrepreneurs who will reflect on their experiences in business. The speaker for the Executive Speaker Series will be Heath Schondelmayer, President of Columbus Bank and Trust. Special Service Session for Veterans
Military veterans are invited to a special service at the Fletcher-McCollister American Legion Post 135, 511 13th St., Phenix City. State staff along with local post members from The American Legion will be at the post to discuss veterans’ benefits and to kick off this community and veteran service campaign. All veterans in and around the Phenix City area are invited to learn more about veteran benefits. An American Legion service officer will be available during the event to assist with VA claims and other benefit related questions. 334-332-1004

Uptown Beer and Wine Festival
Featuring more than 100 craft beers and wines 1 p.m.-5 p.m. in the Tap, Rankin Courtyard and Livery. Tickets may be purchased at The Springer Opera House Box Office or online at SpringerOperaHouse.org. Regular entry costs $35 through October 1st. Tickets purchased after October 1st or at the gate are $45. $10 Designated Driver Ticket at the gate of The Tap Courtyard.
