Grammy-nominated singer Tyrese Gibson said this week he’s excited to perform in Columbus on Friday night at the Columbus Civic Center.

Ticket prices range from $49 to $99.

Opening for the R&B singer are “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Demetria McKinney and Durrell Babbs, better known as Tank. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Parking is $5.

Tyrese said he tends to give the audience what “they give me.”

“I don’t really get out much,” he said this week. “When I do, I let out all of this energy that comes out of me on the stage.

“The fans in Columbus have been very supportive on my Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. I can’t wait. I’m excited.”

His latest album Black Rose, which he’s said will be his last studio album, hit number one in 2015 on the U.S. Billboard 200 after his single “Shame” reached the top of the Adult R&B charts.

What’s next for the model, actor and singer?

He’s produced a project called The Black Book, which he described as a combination of three music videos. It will be released Sunday.

In addition to possibly turning this project into a full feature, Tyrese can be seen in the next installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise in which he plays Roman Pearce.

But as for Friday?

“I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said. “(Fans) aren’t going to leave disappointed. If anything, someone is going to have to kick me off the stage.”

I never leave my house....
