Slim Chickens slated to open in Georgia & Alabama. See where the new locations will be
It’s a good thing Georgians like chicken because another chicken restaurant, Slim Chickens, is coming to locations in Georgia and Alabama.
With the nearest current locations in Albany, Georgia, and Montgomery, Alabama, the pickings for tenders, wings and waffles were slim.
The fast-casual restaurant has locations all across the U.S. and U.K., and just inked a deal to bring spots to a few more counties in Georgia and Alabama, including Russell, Coweta, Carroll and Troup counties as soon as next Spring.
The brand is known for its made-to-order chicken fingers and wings, and has more than 17 different dipping sauces. You’ll mostly find your typical American fare on their menu, but there are a few interesting items.
Most notably are their desserts in a jar, like a strawberry shortcake-like treat. The fun part is: You get to keep the jar. The “Slimthusiasts” — that’s what they call the folks in their rewards program — go nuts for these.
Slim Chickens recently partnered with the multi-unit conglomerate Slims Southern Boys to open at least four franchises.
Slim Southern Boys owns some franchises you may recognize, including two Culver’s, 15 Firehouse Subs, and a dozen or so convenience stores across Georgia and Alabama.
The reviews on Yelp are mixed, with a total score of 3.35 overall. They range from “Very flavorful and cooked perfectly” to “The chicken was tough and cold.”
