Bachelor recap: Zach tells Georgia woman their relationship is “scary.” See why here.
Because it wouldn’t be “The Bachelor” without some drama.
In this week’s episode, Zach Shallcross takes the women to the Bahamas, where the heat and the drama are turned up to the max.
Here’s what happened:
Kat and Brooklyn got the one-on-one dates and the rest of the women, including Columbus native Charity Lawson, were selected for the group date.
“Brooklyn got the one-on-one date and I’m feeling a little discouraged and a little sad,” Charity told the cameras. “It’s been hard for me personally to really get to the depths of me and Zach and I can just imagine like, you know, having a one-on-one would be the perfect time for that to happen, so it’s hard.”
The group date was a relaxed, laid back cookout, or a Bahamas version at least. There were shots, margs and plenty of delicious delicacies of the island.
Later on the group date, Charity does get to steal Zach away for some time alone together.
“Charity, I think with you, like every time we’ve spent has been easy and I haven’t had to think twice. Like this has been fun,” Zach told Charity. “That is exciting to me. But it’s scary.”
“Uh oh,” Charity laughed.
“But it’s good. It’s scary in a good way,” he continued. “So, I’d like to make a toast to you for just being an awesome woman.”
The two sipped their tropical cocktails and kissed while dipping their feet in a pool overlooking the beach.
“With Charity, it’s fun,” Zach told the cameras. “It’s always been so easy and effortless with her. Charity cares about like, what could be of a relationship. It feels so good.”
They share a kiss together and part, but not before some drama interrupts the group date night.
Apparently, Anastasia, one of the other women vying for Zach’s heart, said something to the girls about how they will surely all have over 50k Instagram followers after having made it this far in the show and well, this comment didn’t sit well with the group.
“I was one of the girls who did overhear it,” Charity told Zach after he asked her about the matter.
Zach then had a private conversation with Anastasia, which didn’t go well. She was eliminated at the cocktail party the next day.
Then it was time for the rose ceremony, which began with Charity being called first to receive Zach’s rose.
Her response was, “Why, thank you,” as the couple hugged.
Genevie and Davia did not receive roses and were sent home.
Next week, Zach and the women take on London. Check out next week’s episode on Monday, Feb. 20.
