To top it all off, the date is in London.

But of course, in true Bachelor fashion, things do not go according to plan.

“I am actually in a state of confusion,” Charity told the cameras. “I’ve waited so long for this moment and now I don’t know if it’s even going to happen.”

So, what happened?

After his royal one-on-one date with Gabi, Zach was supposed to take the other women on a group date, but he unfortunately fell ill and canceled the date as well as the after party.

Charity, having already received the other one-on-one date card, knew something was up.

“I’m really excited for my one-on-one, if I have it still,” she said. “I could see Zach as my husband. I have the feels, so like, I’m going to remain hopeful.”

Unfortunately, Zach tested positive for COVID and had to cancel all plans, even the date with Charity.

After receiving the news, Charity is seen visibly crying.

“I’m really sad,” Charity said. “Obviously, it’s not easy to hear that he has COVID. Like, I think all of us care deeply and we’re concerned, but you hope and you dream of something and I was really preparing my heart for this date; and I knew it was going to be something special.”

She told the cameras that she knows Zach’s health is the priority, but she was bummed nonetheless.

“Today could have been a huge turning point,” she said.

Later in the episode, Zach holds the first-ever virtual cocktail party in Bachelor history. First up to the iPad was Charity.

The pair had a sweet conversation and Zach even gifted Charity with a mini replica of Big Ben.

“I know our time had been cut short,” Zach told her. “Ben. Ben cut short.”

They laughed and shared virtual kisses.

“I feel really good. It’s really reassuring to know that he was just as disappointed that he didn’t get the time with me,” Charity said.

Next came the first-ever virtual rose ceremony, where Charity was the second woman called to accept Zach’s rose.

Mercedes and Kylee were sent home during the ceremony.

“I don’t know what next week holds,” Charity told the cameras.

Tune in next week to see if Charity gets her perfect date.
