Ciara Miller Explains Crying in Street After Amanda and West Romance News

Ciara Miller addressed the now-viral photo of herself crying outside a Hermès boutique mere moments after Amanda Batula and West Wilsonpubliclyconfirmed their relationship.

"I was supposed to be meeting my friend at Pastis, and it's 12:45, and I'm like, ‘I cannot be sitting at this lunch while I'm reading this f***ing statement.' I'm, like, ‘I'll lose my f***ing mind,'" Miller, 30, recalled to Glamour reporter Hunter Harris, which was shared via Substack after the profile dropped Friday, April 17. "My manager was down the street and came and met up with me."

Miller was photographed sitting on the sidewalk outside Hermès in New York City on March 31, moments after Batula, 34, and Wilson, 31, posted a joint Instagram statement to reveal their newfound romance.

"Honestly, I was on the phone with Paige [DeSorbo] for a while, and I was like, ‘I don't even know what the f*** to do. I'm in public,'" Miller noted. "I was going to go home, and then, honestly, the photo was snapped faster than I could even make it home."

She continued, "I was like, ‘How chic of it to be Hermès in between Hermès and Bruno Cucinelli. It's honestly just so funny. I didn't mean for it to be right outside of Hermès, but chic nonetheless, I have to say."

While Miller was out and about in NYC, her Summer House costars Batula and Wilson took to social media to address then-swirling speculation about their romantic status.

"While this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything," West and Batula wrote at the time. "Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."

They continued, "We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care."

Batula was married to Kyle Cooke for four years, separating in January. Wilson, for his part, previously dated Miller in 2023 and they reportedly hooked up again earlier this year.

According to Miller, she found out about Batula and Wilson's connection "less than 24 hours" before the now-infamous statement was posted online.

"One [notification I got] was about 45 minutes before," she told Glamourin her Friday profile, breaking her silence on the drama. "I read [the statement] with the rest of the world. There's something about the lack of being able to say each other's names in the statement that I found very telling, but I don't know."

Hours after Miller's magazine article was published, Batula and Wilson were spotted kissing at the Yankees vs. Royals baseball game.
