Based on a press release from The Georgia Department of Labor (DOL), Georgia’s job numbers are “approaching 5 million, just 5,100 jobs away from making history.” This is due to many factors, including Georgia’s strong economic gains, diverse jobs, business friendly environment and its population growth.

The healthcare sector is expected to lead Georgia’s economic growth in 2025, driven by population growth and an aging demographic. The Health IT and telemedicine areas are creating thousands of high-paying jobs with the state supporting around 30,000 jobs in over 225 healthcare IT companies.
