Josh Turner and Martina McBride Benefit Columbus Hospice

The 18th Annual Denim & Diamonds concert will feature country music all-stars Josh Turner and Martina McBride.

The concert is hosted by Columbus Hospice and Columbus Hospice of Alabama.

Josh Turner is a multi-platinum recording artist out of Nashville. He is one of the youngest members of the Grand Ole Opry and has received numerous nominations from the Grammy Awards, Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.

In addition to being a singer, Turner is a songwriter as well. He wrote four songs on his latest album entitled “Deep South.” Turner’s most popular hits include “Your Man,” “Firecracker,” “Time is Love” and “Why Don’t We Just Dance.”

Martina McBride is a four-time winner of Country Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year. Her founding of her global charity called “Team Music Is Love” earned McBride the Presidential Point of Light Award — an award given by the White House to honor philanthropists who have taken action to create change in their communities.

McBride is also a record producer and has won 14 Grammy Award nominations during her career. Her most famous songs include “Wild Angels,” “Safe in the Arms of Love” and “This One’s For the Girls.”

The Denim & Diamonds concert featuring Turner and McBride will take place at the Columbus Civic Center on June 24.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit Columbus Hospice and Columbus Hospice of Alabama. Columbus Hospice has been serving the Chattohoochee Valley since 1979, and is a not-for-profit health care program available in 15 counties in our region.
