The Lambda Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity will host its 38th annual Purple and Gold Golf Tournament on June 24 and 25. The two-day tournament will be held at the MWR Fort Benning Golf Course with a double shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. with flighting after the first day of play.

The annual tournament is held as a means to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The cost for participants is $125, which includes carts and on-course refreshments. The fraternity plans to contribute $15,5000, adding to more than $430,000 provided over the years.

Those interested in participating can register at the Ft. Benning Golf Course or with any member of the fraternity. For more information, contact chairman Robert L. Anderson at 706-326-5668 or co-chairman Larry Parker Jr. at 706-573-3953.
