Thursday’s District 8 All-Star baseball game postponed

The 10-12-year-old Northern baseball team will have to wait another day before its attempt for revenge against Peach in the District 8 All-Star tournament.

Thursday’s scheduled game against Northern and Peach has been postponed due to rain. As a result, the game will be moved to 6:30 p.m. Friday. The game between 9-11-year-old Harris County and Northern will also be played at that time Friday.

The 10-12 Northern squad lost to Peach earlier in the tournament but responded well in its next games, culminating in a 14-3 victory over American Wednesday.

“We owe those guys a little something,” Northern head coach Skip Thompson said. “We came out (in that first meeting) and didn’t feel like we played our best.”
