Hardaway baseball to hold summer workouts

The Hardaway High School baseball team will begin summer workouts on Monday, July 10. Workouts will be held every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. for the remainder of July. The workouts will take place in the Sarah Madeline Pound Building at Hardaway.

The Hawks are fresh off a strong 2017 season which saw the team take second in the Region 1-4A’s Subregion A. Hardaway reached the quarterfinals of the Class 4A state playoffs and was the last Muscogee County team standing.

When the season ended, head coach Chris Gilstrap was named an All-Bi-City Coach of the Year, and infielder/pitcher Mykel Page was named a Player of the Year.

Those interested in playing for the Hawks in 2018 need to attend the workouts. Students need a current physical and must be assigned to Hardaway.
