Eleven local golfers selected to GHSGCA All-State teams
After another productive season of high school golf in and around Columbus, several local golfers have been honored by the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association.
Eleven golfers from high schools around the Bi-City were selected by the GHSGCA to the All-State squads for the various state’s classifications. The Columbus boys team, which captured its second straight state championship, had the most representatives of the local squads with four members on the 10-man Class 4A Boys First Team.
The Columbus girls team, which also won a state championship in 2017, placed two golfers on the Class 4A Girls First Team.
Brookstone had the Hinds siblings, Walker and Sanders, make the First Teams for the boys and girls squads, respectively. This comes after the Cougars took second and the Lady Cougars finished third in the Class A-Private state tournament.
