What a catch! One of SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays comes straight out of Columbus

Columbus State right fielder Austin Pharr's heads-up play against West Florida on Tuesday helped the junior land a spot among ESPN's top highlights.

Pharr tracked down a foul ball and made a diving catch that earned him a place on SportsCenter's Top 10 plays of the night. Pharr's catch, which happened Tuesday in Columbus State's 8-6 win over West Florida, came in at No. 9 on the daily countdown.

"West Florida-Columbus State ... Austin Pharr, please!," SportsCenter anchor Linda Cohn said. "In foul ground. Great diving stop. Beautiful. Columbus State wins the home opener."

The catch was the cherry on top for Pharr, who was also 1-for-4 at the plate with 1 RBI in the Cougars' victory. This is Pharr's first season at Columbus State after spending his previous two years at Kennesaw State.
