In a subsequent tweet, Mbem-Bosse said, “Within hours of a family crisis. [Expletive] YOU. GN (Good Night). It’s going down tomorrow.”

Mbem-Bosse followed those tweets with a number of disturbing messages, including, “Michigan is open carry. Let’s not forget. Not your friend,” “Dead and alive,” and finally a tweet that said, “Let’s not have a murder case On (sic) your hands.”

Mbem-Bosse's tweets are now protected, meaning would-be followers have to first request Mbem-Bosse for access to his feed. The account has not been Twitter verified.

Mbem-Bosse, a native of Ellenwood, Ga., is a linebacker who joined the Wolverines in the Class of 2016. He played in seven games as a freshman and appeared in five games last season.

MLive reported the University of Michigan police department has opened an investigation into the situation. Harbaugh has not responded publicly about the messages.
