I'm running towards nothing

You should join me. It may be hot by midday, but things should be cool enough to throw on some running shoes and meet the Chattahoochee Valley Hash House Harriers for their Saturday stroll. The running/drinking club is meeting at 11 a.m. at Wendy's near the corner of Flat Rock and Beaver Run roads. First timers run for free, $5 for everyone else. Bug spray and a change of clothes are advised, since you'll most likely be running through a forest.

That night, check out the newest incarnation of a downtown watering hole — "Rumors." Formerly "Savana's," the bar hasn't changed much. The couches near the front windows are gone, but the same chill atmosphere is still around. And you don't even have to be a part of Sonya's bar crawl coterie to get in.

On Sunday, think about your cash-strapped government for a change. No reason to give it any more of your money, so head down to Best Buy for a radar detector. Maybe you already have one or can't be bothered with the device, but you should still check out the various gadgets splayed across the aisles in this oh-so conveniently located store.

There's nothing that quite matches the experience of trolling for electronics you desperately want and can't afford — again and again and again.
