Relax, close your eyes and put your entire mind and body in the hands of some random guy from Nebraska.
It's not a weird Friday night hookup scenario, but rather the premise of the four hypnotist shows at The Vault (1026 Broadway) this weekend.
Anthony Potmesil, "The Erotic Hypnotic," promises to take each participant "through the wildest and most twisted sides of their mind."
The shows are 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Cover is $5.

When you go to Potmesil's Friday show, make sure to stop at Rumors (1107 Broadway). Formerly Savana's, the club celebrates its grand opening with a dance-off Friday night.
If my dancing skills are any indication of the caliber of talent you'll see, you'll be longing for the rhythmic stylings of Elaine Benes in no time.
Dancing's not your thing? Try some more athletic footwork at Country's 27th Annual Midnight Express. The 5K race starts at Country's, 3137 Mercury Drive. Start time is midnight, but you can catch music at 8 p.m. and a live simulcast from Iraq at 11 p.m.
Registration (open until 11:30 p.m.) is $25. Proceeds benefit the visually impaired.

Nothing the powers of hypnosis can't cure, right?
