Do-Nanny, the annual folk art festival has moved

The World Famous Outsiders Outside DO-NANNY will move to Alabama folk artist ButchAnthony's place in Seale, Ala., announced Frank Turner, who began the Do-Nanny.

Turner said the new location is about seven miles north of Pittsview, the home of the Do-Nanny for many years. A new highway bypassed Pittsview, and Turner says, "no one would ever find Pittsview."

Anthony calls the festival the Doo-Nanny and Turner predicts it will be quite different this year.

"He is completely in charge of arrangements," Turner said. "It will be around a lake on his place about 1/2 mile off U.S. 431. It will be on March 29 at 41 Poorhouse Road."
