Death Claims Ex-Slave, At 102, In Hurtsboro

Ed Thomas, 102, the oldest person in Hurtsboro, died at his home there Monday night. He was born in Macon Co., near Hurtsboro, two years before the town was founded. He was born in slavery.

River Groups Seek Funds
