Hours: 11 a.m.-until "the last soldier is fed," Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays.

Menu: Caribbean, of course. There's jerk chicken, curried goat, oxtail, along with red beans and rice, macaroni and cheese, candied yams and corn. Try the Jamaican patties (veggie, beef or chicken) and some of the best, seasoned vegetables in town — cabbage, collard greens, green beans, stir-fried veggies.

Appetizers: Lots of appetizers and sides like Caribbean wings and fried plantains.

Beverages: Iced tea, soft drinks and specialty drinks like ginger beer and cola champagne (both non-alcoholic), homemade lemonade, Caribbean fruit drinks and flavored ginseng drinks. Homemade healthy Jamaican drinks like carrot juice and Irish moss, made to order. No bar. Atmosphere: Cozy, with about 10 tables inside and three tables outside.

Cost: Between 11 a.m.-2 p.m., you can get one piece of chicken and two sides for $5.50 (oxtail $8.50) or two pieces and two sides for $7.00. Dinner prices range from the chicken special for $7.50; jerk chicken, curried chicken, lemon pepper chicken and smothered chicken for $9.50; boneless chicken for $11.50 and red snapper$15.50 and up depending on the portion size. Sandwiches run $4.50 for the Caribbean seasoned burger or fish sandwich to $5.50 for the Jamaican jerk chicken or pork sandwich. Jamaican patties are $1.75 each. Wings $5.99 for 10 pieces.
