Despite a couple of rain showers, 17 fishermen from the Benning Bass Club launched out of Southern Harbor and fished from 7 p.m. Aug. 14 to 7 a.m. Aug. 15 at West Point Lake. Randy Duncan won with a limit of five fish weighing in at 13.48 pounds and had the biggest fish of the tournament weighing 5.02 pounds. The club is open to all who have served in the military, DoD civilians, and contractors. The next official club tournament will be Sept. 18-19 at Uchee Creek. To be able to fish in the tournament with the club, individuals need to attend the next meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 24. The group meets at the Legacy Dealership off Manchester Expressway.
