Shop from a variety of handmade items at the annual Benning Bazaar this weekend, hosted by the Community Spouses Club.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, more than 70 regional vendors will converge at the old Infantry museum on Baltzell Avenue.
Products for sale include art, organic spa products, food, make up, purses, holiday items, knives, woodwork, jewelry, pottery and candles, said Kelli Houston, Benning Bazaar chair.
“Handcrafted items, one-of-a-kind items everything you need. The variety and the quality of merchandise that’s going to be here this weekend should be great,” she said.
“Bring the whole family. You should be able to get something for yourself along with some Christmas presents for this holiday season.”
There will be door prizes and plenty of entertainment for the family, such as face painting, hula dancers and the Faith Middle School cheerleaders. SKIESUnlimited will give demonstrations in tire inflation and tae kwon do.Local family readiness support associations and other post organizations will sell food and drinks during the event.
Admission is $2 for ages 13 and older, and the funds raised go to support scholarships for military family members and service projects in the community, Ms. Houston said.
