Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's jewelry collection
Sometimes when you hear that celebrities are dabbling in jewelry design, you expect to see some has-been hocking gaudy dimonique necklaces on QVC.
Well, just to prove that they actually are better than everyone else, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are crushing that idea.
Inspired by a gift while she was pregnant, Angelina and Brad have designed a serpent-themed jewelry collection called The Protector that includes necklaces, bracelets, children's items and more. The couple has teamed up with jewelry designer Asprey for the collection.
And, what's more, it's gorgeous.
I once had a snake ring when I was in high school - thought I was the coolest. Except it was cheap and the tail would snag on things and bend until it eventually broke off. Loved that thing though.
Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to afford anything in the Jolie-Pitt collection - not that prices are mentioned, but I'm making an educated guess here. Words like "limited edition," "luxury" and "high end" generally mean "out of Katie's price range."
But just look at these necklaces (I like the one of the far left):

and these rings!

Here's a slideshow, courtesy of Women's World Daily, showing off some other pieces from the collection.
Of course, proceeds from the sale of the jewelry will go to Education Partnership for Children of Conflict, one of Jolie's charities.
