Here's Lee DeWyze, who we learn is this season's resident worrywart. We are also reminded of his friendship with Andrew. I love when Crystal says she wants them to get married and have Danny Gokey babies.
Lee sings "Hey Jude" while playing the guitar. It's fun and engaging. Not quite as solid as his effort last week, but Lee has gained tons of stage presence and I'm happy about that. If he continues to get confident, he could really be a competitive threat. Then, just as the song wraps up, Lee is joined by a kilt-clad bagpiper. Random and perhaps a bit unnecessary. You've gotta give him points for creativity, though.
Randy: "It was another hot one for you."
Ellen: "I thought it was a great job. I loved it."
Kara: Says there were good points and bad points, but she's still a fan.
Simon: Says he wouldn't have done the bagpipe player deal. "It was like he turned up on the wrong show." We learn it was Lee's idea, "100 percent."
