DIY ceremony programs
Ever the diligent bride-to-be, I'm already right back in the thick of wedding stuff. Of course that 60-day deadline is a little daunting, so it's my nerves and anxiety that are driving me at this point.
Not to mention that hunting season began on Sunday, so instead of our planned afternoon of wedding band shopping, I helped my fiance cut up, grind and package fresh venison. (Sigh. While I don't mind helping him do stuff like that, we're getting married in two months and don't have wedding bands!)
I am, however, working on our ceremony programs. Since the place where we ordered our invitations sent us something like DOUBLE our order, I'm using one side of the invite on the cover, printing out the insides on some cool antiqued-looking paper (which I haven't found yet, so if I can't get it at Staples I may have to bust out a pot of stale coffee and antique some plain computer paper myself), punching holes in the side and tying it together with some red raffia.
It's super simple and actually looks pretty good. The fun thing about it is that not all the programs have to look exactly the same. I have some really cool red glittery stickers and stamps, plus I plan on handwriting on some of them as well.
My sense of urgency is high right now. I can only imagine how I'll be the week leading up to the wedding. But the reception decorations are bought and ready to be assembled. RSVPs are already flowing in. The best man will be back in the States in a couple of weeks (!!). So things are good.
