Until I was in a serious long-term relationship myself, I never realized the impact the media must have on celebrity couples.
This little piece made me chuckle a little. Apparently, before going to Comic-Con this weekend, relative newlyweds Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds got in a fight.
The article says there is "trouble in paradise." Really?
Couples fight. And a fight doesn't mean an end to a relationship.
Yeah, so maybe ScarJo threatened to remove her wedding band, but girls are dramatic when they're angry. And she's an actor to boot.
Both stars were heading to the convention to promote their respective movies. Johansson plays Black Widow in "Iron Man 2" and Reynolds was just pegged for the lead in "Green Lantern."
By not showing up to his panel, Reynolds didn't exactly make a great impression on Warner Bros. execs. Meanwhile, Johansson went to her panel and acted like a "true professional."
I'm sure they made up later that night. Though Reynolds must feel like a bit of jerk for shirking his professional duties due to a private matter.
But, seriously, just imagine if a news story came out every time a "normal" couple had a fight. That could definitely strain a relationship, especially if 1/2 of the couple is an over-analyzer.
