I love scary movies. I saw the original (1980) "Friday the 13th" movie at a middle school sleepover. I had trouble sleeping for weeks, but I couldn't wait to see my next horror flick.
The film is about (fictional) Jason Voorhees who drowned at Camp Crystal Lake when he was a child. The camp counselors who were supposed to be watching the child were instead participating in, ahem, adult activities. Years later the lake is rumored to be haunted and becomes the setting for several murders. After the first movie, several follow-up films were made. I saw them all, but none were as good (i.e. as scary) as the original.
Just last winter, I saw the (2009) remake of the first movie, and I had trouble sleeping again. Tonight (Friday the 13th) would be the perfect time to watch the original again, but I need my beauty sleep. Cue the scary music and these spooky cocktails. I'm thinking if I drink a couple of these while watching the movie, I'll be able to sleep in spite of my over-active imagination.
