Pop Up Video returns to VH1

VH1 has changed quite a bit from when I was a younger viewer. One of the only reason I watched back in that long-ago decade known as the 1990s was Pop Up Video.

Most of the videos were shamelessly dated, but it was fun to read the witty bits of trivia that popped up with that awesome bubbly sound effect.

From Entertainment Weekly: After a 10-year hiatus, Pop Up Video is coming back to VH1, with 60 new episodes ordered for this fall. This time, not only will the show tackle classic hip-hop and rap music videos for the first time, but the Pop Up treatment will feature user-generated pop up content and updated polls in its bubbles.

Are you excited by the broadening of the video genres? How do you feel about user-generated content?

If I had VH1, I'd totally watch this.
