From staff reports
Jason Gibson will return for his sixth season as Columbus Lions head coach and as director of football operations, the team announced Friday.
Gibson coached the Lions to the 2010 Southern Indoor Football League championship, has won three division titles and has led the team to five consecutive playoff berths. Through five seasons, he has a 57-19 record.
“In Jason, we have one of the top coaches and finest people in indoor football, and are lucky to have had him this long,” Lions managing partner John Hargrove said in a news release. “We’re ecstatic he’s ours and hungry as ever for a shot at another championship.”
The team also announced Friday the addition of Rick Jacobson as a new partner and its vice president of sales and marketing.
