I usually walk to lunch at one of the downtown restaurants and one of the best things is meeting new dogs.
Some of them are old friends, but some are very new acquaintances.
Yesterday, I was walking toward the Government Center when I spotted a Great Pyrenees, a huge white dog. Running in and out around his feet was a tiny little Chihuahua.
It was such a funny sight that I asked the two girls if I could take their dogs' pictures.
They were great.
Then there's Steffi, another tiny little Chihuahua owned by Constantina Tsoulainou and Gary Wortley. I often see them eating lunch in front of Subway. Constantina is a vocal professor in the Columbus State University Schwob School of Music, and Gary recently retired as interim dean of the CSU College of the Arts.
The black Lab belongs to Susan Cheney. I can't remember her name, but she's an elderly dog and so sweet.
Tiger, the Shih Tzu belongs to my colleague Chuck Williams. It's funny to watch this big man walk in, holding this tiny little dog.
I also saw another elder Shih Tzu named Lizzie yesterday, but I didn't get her photo. She was 17-years-old, but didn't look it.
I've been trying to post pictures, but am having no luck. I'll post them tomorrow.
