The Columbus Lions added two defensive players in end Armond Willis and lineman Lawon Scott.
Armond Willis (6-foot-1, 243 pounds, Florida International) split last season between the IFL’s Sioux Falls Storm and Wyoming Calvary, gathering a combined 23 tackles and six sacks.
Lawon Scott (6-1, 332, Mississippi) was signed by the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys in July. Scott appeared in more than 40 games and started in 20 games during his four-year span (2007-2010) with the Rebels, finishing his collegiate career with 57 tackles and two sacks.
The Lions get ready for the season with a preseason game against the Team James All-Stars of Atlanta at 6 p.m. Sunday.
