I'm always trying to figure out how to get the "look" I want in my kitchen. Given that I'm hesitant to spend too much money to do it, that can be a chore.
But for a while I thought I wanted to go the cafe route — you know, coffee-themed. But then I wanted all this polka dot bake ware (some of which I have, but there's still more I want, of course) and decided to branch that out. So it's still sort of a cafe theme, but less coffee house and more retro diner. Or maybe somewhere in between.
Anyway, I've decided that the next house I live in will have a more cohesive — and apparent — decor, but in the meantime I'm just throwing bits and pieces together. And when I came across Cuddly Rigor Mortis I fell in love (thanks Offbeat Home!).
The art is food-related with a twist ... they have an edge of morbidity without being gory or graphic or inappropriate. Like I said, I'm in love.
