Columbus Lions re-sign kicker Trey Crum

The Columbus Lions (2-2) re-signed kicker Trey Crum on Tuesday.

Crum, a two-time, first-team kicker, notched a league-high 20 Uno's during last year's regular season. He added eight more during the playoffs. For the past two seasons, Crum has scored 278 points along with the 53 Unos.

The Lions are ranked last in PAT's, completing just 68 percent, kickoff coverage and second-to-last in field goals.

In addition, the Lions also added former Grambling State defensive lineman Melvin Matthews. The former FCS All-American was signed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie mini-camp in 2010 and also spent time with the AFL's Bossier Shreveport Battle Wings in that same year.

On Saturday, Columbus hosts the Louisiana Swashbucklers (1-2).
