Grab a lawn chair or blanket and head to Midtown for Party on the Lawn, 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Wynnton Arts Academy, 2303 Wynnton Road.
Columbus State University's G.E.N.E.S.I.S. Gospel Choir and the Maneuver Center of Excellence Jazz Band Combo will perform at this free event.
For kids, expect face painting, balloon animals, ice cream, lemonade and candy.

Before the Lawn Party, get some exercise at the MidTown Historic Bike Around. It's a 4.6 mile bicycle ride that starts at 1 p.m. Kids are welcome on the tour that includes nine historic stops. Safe Kids Baby Expo
Parents with young children, expectant parents and grandparents should check out today's Safe Kids Baby Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Columbus Civic Center.
Ten minute "baby school" classes, diaper derbies, a daddy diapering contest and other games are sure to popular. Kids are invited to bring their teddy bears to be cared for in a baby ambulance. Guests can shop in the Baby Market Place and at noon, the latest in baby and toddler fashion will be modeled in a fashion show. Seminar topics include labor and delivery, prenatal and newborn care and birth control after baby.
