Henry's is a family-owned Cajun restaurant with roots in Baton Rouge, La., located at 5126 Hamilton Rd., Columbus.
Henry Hamilton, whose father opened the restaurant last May, serves as the unofficial bartender and enjoys developing his own drink recipes.
Henry said they pride themselves on having an extensive liquor selection at their bar, offering everything from Johnny Walker Blue Label whiskey to several top shelf selections of bourbon, scotch and tequila.
He shared his rum runner recipe with her magazine, something he was perfecting even as he shared it with us.
Henry's Rum Runner
2 oz. dark rum
3 oz. orange juice
3 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 oz creme de banana
1 oz. watermelon pucker
Pour all ingredients except watermelon pucker into a shaker with ice. Shake until mix is blended.
Fill 10 oz. glass with ice and tilt at a slight angle and pour watermelon pucker so that it run down the side of the glass.
Gently pour the shaken mixture over the ice.
Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a lemon slice.
