Retired Col. Ralph Puckett, a Ranger qualified leader and inaugural inductee of the U.S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame, will sign copies of his new book Friday at the National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center.
The book, "Words for Warriors: A Professional Soldier's Notebook," will be signed from 9 a.m. to noon at the Soldier Store. The book explores military techniques and experiences during Puckett's 58 years of working with soldiers.
Areas of focus in the book are leadership, popular tactics, public relations, self development, training and other topics.
Puckett of Columbus retired in 1971 but is still active in military affairs. He serves as honorary colonel of the 75th Ranger Regiment and honorary instructor at The Infantry School at Fort Benning. He also serves on the National Infantry Foundation's National Advisory Board.
