Have you competed in Miss Georgia before and if so what were your titles? I grew up watching Miss America on TV with my family and my dad would always pretend that Tiffany and I were the next state title holders and we would giggle with joy. We were his Miss Americas. I would never guess that I would be fulfilling a childhood dream and competing in my first Miss Georgia Pageant!
Why is your platform special to you? A little boy I babysit for benefited from staying at the Ronald McDonald House. I am passionate about children and believe their families need a lot of support during difficult times in their lives. I also believe this organization works well with the Miss America Children Miracle Network platform because a lot of children who stay at the House also are patients at hospitals that are funded by the Children's Miracle Network.
What advice would you like to share with teen girls who are struggling with school? I would say that I have been there and school is not easy but I have learned some ways to do well. Some good ways are to study with a peer that is doing well in the class, or hire a tutor that knows the subject very well.
How would you describe your personal style? I love combing two different styles together like edgy and classy; vintage and casual but mostly I mix bohemian with a touch of preppy.
How do you stay fit? During my workout sessions I start with running two miles -- it is a great way to stretch the body and then I use different machines to work on different body parts. I love working on my arms and abs. My goal is to have my abs look like an ice cube tray.
What's your favorite healthy meal and what are your favorite treats? Since I have started competing in local preliminaries and now for Miss Georgia, I have learned to have better eating habits. My healthy meals usually include sushi, salad, boiled tilapia and/or steamed vegetables. There are positives and negatives to healthy eating. The positives are I do not have to think that hard to decide what I want for lunch or dinner, it's pretty much decided, but I mix it up by using different seasoning to flavor the tilapia and vegetables. Sometimes I surprise myself with how good some of the combinations can turn out! I just make it up as I go along. The negative is sometimes it is hard sticking to these meals but I know it sits well in my stomach. I am currently obsessed with frozen yogurt with fresh fruit.
What stresses you out and how do cope with the stress in your life? School can stress me out and I made a list of things to do so I start feeling better. Some of the things on my list are: call friends/ family to vent, pray, watch funny TV shows like "America's Funniest Home Videos," treat myself to frozen yogurt, go for a run and if all else fails, let my brain rest and take a nap.
