Three men in a dark sport-utility vehicle who may have been involved in a series of armed robberies shot a motorist this morning off Veterans Parkway in north Columbus, police said.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, told investigators the SUV cut him off in traffic before one of the occupants fired and shot him in the shoulder. The shooting happened about 3:15 a.m. at Springhill Avenue and Lorraine Street, just one block east of Veterans Parkway and three blocks north of its intersection with West Britt David Road.
Detectives said the same perpetrators may have been involved in three armed robberies. Their vehicle may be dark blue, investigators said.
