LaGrange crime: Three caught moving furniture through woods from vacant house, police say

LaGrange police officers on patrol first saw a "suspicious vehicle" Thursday afternoon before observing, even more suspiciously, a guy loading it with furniture he was hauling out of the woods.

Further investigation revealed three men were taking furniture from a nearby house whose owner said it had been vacant for years, police said.

Officers arrested LaGrange men Johnquavious Russell, 18, of Webster Street; Antonio Harris, 26, of Matthews Street; and Clarence Tigner, 56, of Borton Street, police said. Each was charged with burglary.

Patrol officers first noticed the suspicious truck parked near 107 Tower St. about 3:45 p.m. Thursday, investigators said.
