Hey, I just met you and this is crazy...

If you can complete that sentence, you've probably succumbed to what's arguably this year's Summer Song: Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."

The song has reached No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, a milestone that coincided with the day I devised a massive Columbus lip-dub set to the song. Picture this: Local government officials jamming to the tune while displaying their contact information.

Cheesy dance party + public service = pure awesomeness

Not everyone's psyched, though. Make no mistake: My idea is universally accepted, but the song is an issue. Just ask my colleague Sara Pauff, who called the tune's Billboard milestone "the day the music died." Harsh.

Like this Entertainment Weekly writer, I'll resist an urge to end this post with the original version of "Call Me Maybe." So, um, enjoy this:

Georgia’s men’s basketball team put up a fight Saturday night against LSU, and at times the game looked to be in the Bulldogs’ favor. LSU pushed ahead to win 83-79 at Stegeman Coliseum.
